1963 is a traditional jewellery business from the 60’s in Colombia, using gold, silver, emeralds and diamonds to produced Pre-Columbian products inspired by daily objects and nature.
Inheriting a legacy from one generation to another is an important aspect of this brand, communicating how the old nurture the new in a constant process. I was inspired by their main product called “A Person” - an abstraction of the human body. I drew over its legs and arms, and duplicated and rotated it to create Outcome A, which I then duplicated and rotated further to create a new final shape that represents the union of a tribe working for a common aim.
I created a minimalistic brand that in a modern and elegant way is strongly connected to its indigenous roots. The use of the orange colour reflects the warm tropical weather of Colombia.
